Skamia’s Folklore Museum & Stratis Myrivilis hall
Since 2002, the folklore museum is hosted in the basement of Skamia’s primary school. It is a stone made building with view over the Asia minors shores from the Mpampa’s cape up to the gulf of Ayvali & Adramyttium. The museum houses a collection of items from the material civilization which are exhibited at the five halls of the museum. The museum exhibits are household and everyday life’s items of the past century such farm duty tools, traditional costumes, examples of traditional weaving & knitwear and ceramics.

One hall of the museum is dedicated to Stratis Myrivilis(1892-1969), an eminent academician and major figure in the literary history of Greece. In the hall are exhibited his personal items and photos as well as original awards one among them from the French Academy of Arts and Letters.
